Earth Day: Liam and Jake Walk to Mexico

April 22, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free – $15

“In an age where most drive to the adventure, two friends decided to walk to it instead…”

Come and join Liam and Jake from A DoorStep Adventure as they share their stories from an epic journey that began at their doorsteps in Jasper, Alberta and continued all the way to the border of Mexico.

Liam and Jake spent several months and over 5,000 kilometres skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking along both the Great Divide and Continental Divide trails.

Their blog, A DoorStep Adventure, chronicled their trek among other things including awful meals, amazing views, and even cribbage scores.

There will also be time to socialize with others who have hiked, maintained or contributed to the Great Divide Trail. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from Joyce on 4th.

GDTA Members are FREE! Non-member price is $15. For more information on GDTA membership click here. Alternatively, if you are not a member, you can purchase a regular ticket and the money can be put towards a GDTA membership at the event. Tickets can be purchased at Eventbrite.

The doors will open at 6:30 pm and the talk will start at 7:00 pm and run until around 9:00 pm.

Join us for this event on Earth Day to celebrate and discover the adventures that lie right at our doorsteps!
