Great Divide Trail Seminar for Hikers and Trail Builders

April 3 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Come join us for an afternoon of stories and advice about the Great Divide Trail! Recent hikers will share their experience along with insights on planning, preparation and gear choices. Trail builders will provide updates and plans for the upcoming year. The President of the GDTA will speak in person about the development and plans for this unique trail.

The 1130 km Great Divide Trail has become renown and its in our own backyard! This popularity speaks to its appeal for the challenges hikers face between the southern terminus at Waterton Lakes National Park and the northern terminus at Kakwa Lake. This seminar will include photos, video and testimony from several local hikers who hiked the GDT.

Additionally, special guests from the Okanagan High Rim Trail Association will make a presentation about this 55 km local wilderness trail, and how hiking it can help hikers prepare for a long GDT hike.

GDTA membership, stickers, and patches will be available for purchase at the seminar. Additionally, one will be able to order the GDT guidebook at the seminar.

As per BC Health and Safety orders and guidelines, masks are required in all public indoor settings for everyone (5 years and older). Proof of full vaccination will be required upon entry for everyone 12 years and older. These requirements or whatever current health orders take precedent must be followed by all attendees.

Purchase tickets HERE.
