SUMMARY:Trip #7 - Height of the Rockies Maintenance Trip
DESCRIPTION:Join the Great Divide Trail Association for a backcountry walki
 ng trip\, maintaining trail in Height of the Rockies Provincial Park. Back
 country walking trips offer a unique experience for a mobile crew\, perfor
 ming light trail maintenance while hiking 10-15 kilometres per day on the 
 GDT. Camp location moves daily and participants are responsible for their 
 own gear and food. This trip model is designed for small crews where backp
 acking experience and a higher level of fitness is required.\n\n 	Voluntee
 rs are responsible for bringing their own clothing\, cooking and camping g
 ear\, e.g. stove\, fuel\, tent\, sleeping bag.\n 	Volunteers are responsib
 le for bringing and cooking their own food.\n 	While trail building experi
 ence is not mandatory\, volunteers must have experience backcountry campin
 g and hiking.\n 	Trips are free for GDTA Members.\n 	Carpooling assistance
  will be coordinated by the GDTA this year for those interested.\n 	The GD
 TA will provide all trail maintenance tools\, tool training\, and safety o
