Good food, great company, and plenty of trail stories – what more could you ask for?
Last Thursday, October 15th, the Great Divide Trail Association (GDTA) gathered at Prairie Dog Brewing in Calgary for our annual End of Season Wrap-Up Party, and what a fantastic evening it turned out to be!
We were thrilled to see such an incredible turnout, with a wonderful mix of familiar faces and newcomers joining us for the festivities. Whether you spent weeks exploring the GDT this summer, volunteered your time helping maintain the trail, or simply share a love for the Canadian Rockies and the outdoors, it was great to see everyone come together.
Once again, Prairie Dog Brewing provided the perfect setting for the evening. The food was fantastic, the drinks were flowing, and the atmosphere couldn’t have been better. Everywhere you looked, people were catching up, swapping trail stories, sharing adventures from the past season, and no doubt dreaming up plans for the next one.
Events like these are a wonderful reminder that the Great Divide Trail is about so much more than the kilometres we hike or the trails we maintain. It’s about the people, the friendships, and the incredible community we’ve built around a shared passion for adventure.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made the evening such a success, and to the team at Prairie Dog Brewing for taking such great care of us!
As we close the chapter on another memorable season, we’re already looking forward to what 2027 has in store.
Here’s to another great year on the GDT, and to the amazing people who make it all possible. See you on the trail!
