The Great Divide Trail Association is primarily a volunteer-run organization, so we’re always in need of passionate individuals who love the outdoors. Even if you have just a few hours to give, it can make a big difference. There are always lots of ways you can get involved, including remotely and outside of peak-hiking seasons! No matter what your skills or interests are, the GDTA has a role for you.

We always appreciate companies and organizations who are interested in supporting our work on the trail.

Every September the Membership of the Great Divide Trail Association votes in new members to our Board of Directors. As a director you help set the strategic direction for the organization and ensure that mission and values of the association are upheld. If you have a passion for the Great Divide Trail and want to help steer it, then maybe a role on the Board of Directors is for you. Most board members start out by volunteering in other capacities.

The GDTA regularly publishes Pathfinder, a high-quality Magazine-style newsletter featuring stories from or about the GDT, written by those that have experienced it first-hand. We’re always on the lookout for new authors. If this interests you, please contact editor@greatdividetrail.com for more information about submission guidelines.
