Join the GDTA’s own Jenny Feick for a lunch presentation on the GDT at the Wings Over the Rockies Nature Festival
Jenny Feick is an environmental biologist and geographer whose career with Parks Canada and the B.C. Ministry of Environment gave her field experience and an understanding of land use and policy issues in the mountains of western Canada. As part of the history of Canada’s Great Divide Trail, she served on the crew that scouted the route for the GDT between Banff and Waterton in 1974. She became one of the founders of the Great Divide Trail Association, which celebrates its 50 th anniversary in April 2026. She is the compiler and editor of Tales from the Great Divide, the definitive reference on the history of Canada’s GDT and the GDTA. A keen naturalist, her “Nature of the Great Divide series” is on the GDTA’s YouTube Channel. She and her husband Ian Hatter love exploring the mountains in the Invermere area where they have lived since 2021.
