Volunteers Needed

Hikers in a circle beside an alpine lake.

The days are growing shorter, the weather is turning colder, and hiking gear is being packed away in place of winter equipment. And yet the GDTA is kicking it in to high gear with all the planning and work for 2027 hiking and maintenance season. A few extra (virtual) hands would really make a difference!

All of the amazing accomplishments from last year were only made possible by a small-but-mighty army of individuals who worked behind the scenes to: plan the events; work with partners; find the funding; revise the policies; get the authorizations; keep the IT running; get the communications out; and of course all sorts of other tasks.

If you have even a few hours a month and a desire to help keep the Great Divide Trail dream alive, then we have room for you! We pair volunteers up with one of our committees, and there is a lot of flexibility in finding a task that speaks to you.

Check out our volunteer page for a list of specific roles we’re looking to fill, or email volunteer@greatdividetrail.com
